Buckle up because this national tournament promises to be a very intense competition.

Thus suggesting that the previous AMTA Championships were . . . laid back affairs???  Confused Tounge

My prediction:

Harvard vs. Harvard, by virtue of exceedingly clever disguises and makeup.

Absolutely -- but I based my choices on what I know of these teams --

Standford A -- Ed Piper is amazing -- had the pleasure of judging him on a bye-team at UCLA invitational and watching him go up against Claremont McKenna 4th round in Tucson ---- that round was extremely close and well fought.

UC Irvine -- deep in talent plus they have a very creative coach (Justin) that knows how to win -- he was a great mocker.

UCLA-- they have been there before ... still producing strong teams. Faced strong teams in regionals --- have a deep talent pool to "stack" for Gold.

USC -- They have a great team this year -- plus Olu is a great coach .... he knows what it takes to win ( before joining USC he was with Howard -- the same year they won both Silver and Gold .... to the best of my knowledge, this has never been duplicated )

Not "winners" per se, but my favorites -- I would not count out any team making it to Gold.

I have seen these particular teams this year and I like what they have done with this year's case. Hopefully they will perform at the level I think they are capable.

one of my all time favorite teams --Furman. extremely polite and "nice" team in and out of the
courtroom ... but do not be fooled .. they are fierce competitors.

my new favorite team after Tucson ..... Airforce -- I can sum up their teams in three words --(1) Drive (2) Dedication (3) Determination.

Their "B" team, on three days notice,  populated with Fresh/Soph along with one cadet that had never competed almost won a Gold bid in Tucson.... I have faced an airforce team or two, and they can never be taken lightly.
