Do you have any tentative invites yet? I am just wondering what the field will be.

I do, just sent you a PM. Everything is very tentative as it is very early.

Yes, this is my last name, learn it, memorize it, and learn to pronounce :).

Please, give the p.com crowd some credit. How else would the name be pronounced? I really have no idea why names so intimidate.

No they did a great job, you're absolutely right, I just want to help them out where I can.

Let's be honest, is anyone here fluent in Polish? If they aren't, I doubt they'd know how to pronounce my name :).

I'm fluent in Polish!  hehe - can't read or write it too well, but my parents speak it at home, so I speak it all the time.

That's awesome! I can only speak a little, I've been in the process of learning for awhile. Funny thing is, I'm fluent in Italian, and the only Italian I ever have in me is the pizza I get from the Italian restaurant down the street.

If you already speak Polish, Italian will be a breeze for you.

I'm hoping so...I'm also hoping my French will help me.  I finish my French major this semester (one class period, one test, and one final to go!) yet still have a year to go, so I decided I'd give Italian a try

Is there a calculus or a standardized criteria for invitations? Or is there a fair amount of subjectivity?

That's actually how I picked the teams I invited before I announced it on perjuries :)

But I think people are just afraid to talk to me. Cuz of the screen name and all. I really gotta change my default screen name that I use for basically every website. Probably should go back to Bigfatpolack.... only problem is I'm not fat anymore... Such a cruel world.

In a few weeks I'll get an invite page up on our website (www.arizonamocktrial.org). Then we point people there and they will see your email address instead of SN. Maybe that will be a little more inviting. :-)
