A noteworthy stat: Harvard took two each from NYU and Bellarmine--the 2nd and 3rd placing teams.

Now that's impressive.

Another noteworthy stat: the third place team, Bellarmine, was not the same team as the GAMTI Bellarmine team. It was their B team I think. Thats sick. And I am pretty sure their ballots were close.

Everyone is well aware that Bellarmine is dominant, and that their Coach Matt Rich is a hot tranny mess.

On behalf of the entire New York University Mock Trial program, we would like to thank all of the teams that attended this year's Downtown Invitational Classic. We had a terrific time hosting you and hope that you return next year!

We are extremely grateful of the selfless work of all of the people that served in the tab room over the weekend: Dr. Glen Halva-Neubauer, Mia Eisner-Grynberg, Phil Gary, Lauren Zimmerman, Amir Sadeghy and Michael Smith. A special thanks to Matt Rich and Anatoly Rozental for running an incredibly efficient judges' meeting and helping out with everything throughout the course of the weekend! Without all of you, the Downtown would not have been possible.

We also want to extend our congratulations to our friends at Harvard University -- Riley, Rob, Guy, Joe, Amanda, JJ and Claire -- on their dominating performance and well deserved win this weekend. The class that Harvard exhibits both inside and outside of the courtroom is unbelievable They were a welcome addition to our field.

The tab summary can be now found online at: http://thslaw.org/08downtowntab.pdf

Tournament pictures will be posted shortly.

NYU looks forward to seeing many of you at its upcoming tournaments.

Best,

Justin Matarrese

The two rounds I judged (Duke/Pitt and Irvine/Cornell) were excellent (par for the course at the Downtown).  Congratulations to all of the winners.
