I echo the comments of most everyone: This tournament was rough, but the most challenged I have ever felt in mock trial. A big thank you to Cornell U, Richmond, EKU, and Penn for 4 really close and tough rounds.

Thank you UVa for hosting such an amazing tournament.  The logistics appeared flawless and the tournament was run very well.

Oh, and congrats Matarrese...you get to go to law school now...haha

I count 86.5 defense wins and 55.5 on the prosecution (61% in favor of the defense after the 4th round)

Agreed. I also found Miami's performance on D (4-1-1) to be very strong as well. I'm not sure how the timing worked out (or many other details about this tourney) but I thought it was impressive that Miami pulled 2 ballots from the #1 team at the tourney, after having faced their other team on the same side in first round.

it's even more impressive when you find out that their usual prosecution closer, Kevin Harrison, stayed in Oxford this weekend because he had H1N1. They are some ballers. So proud of them.

Thank you very much. Our round against UVa 972 was a fantastic round, as the total point differential of 0 indicates (+1, +2, -3). It was the best round I have been in all year. I look forward to a possible rematch in New York. Miami would also like to thank UVa- especially Toby Heytens and Juliana Yee- for hosting such a well run tournament. It was a pleasure to come and compete.

Additionally, Miami thanks all of our opponents for fun, challenging rounds. Michigan, Tennessee, and both UVa teams were all great competition.

Best,

Looking at the tab summary it looks like 972 was -4 points from going 12-0...scary
