So, who from the supplementary round will take the bid.  Keep in mind, none of these teams are definitely attending, but all should be invited.

Finger Lakes PART DEUX Poll
« on: February 23, 2010, 10:38:53 am »
I think that some of the tougher teams have been taken out.  That said, anyone could argue that some of THESE teams deserved a bid, and were gypped.

Since there's such a short time left before ORCS, this would have to take place very, very soon. Does anybody know when this supplementary round will be taking place?

Also -  will any possible case changes be postponed due to Finger Lakes, or is it more likely that AMTA will release any case changes as planned, regardless of what's going on?

Such a bizarre situation!

Penn State can't actually "earn" a bid here since we have already maxed out our allowable bids, so the poll is off on that matter. Whether or not they take the most ballots...well, is another matter.  :gavel:

No, I will not be there. But as far as I know (I'm not on our exec board), Penn State A is attending.

Apparently AMTA is now asking Penn State A to not attend.  I think NYU will take this if that is the case.

If AMTA is asking Penn State A not to attend, why wouldn't they do the same for NYU, don't they have 2 bids to ORCS already?

No.  NYU's other two teams are competing that same weekend at Jamaica.

Yep, it sounds like to keep the field even Penn State A isn't going. That way these teams that were already screwed by one judge won't have to see a bye buster team, not because PSU already earned two bids.

As for NYU, who knows? I don't think there is a list of who is actually going posted anywhere. I heard the number is around 8, which is only half the teams that are listed in this poll.

2 hamilton teams, 1 colgate team, 1 binghamton team, 1 nyu, 1 buffalo

That's the field as I understand it.

A little birdie said that NYU is unable to attend due to the weather. Did anyone else drop out?

That's a shame if they did. I had my money on them to win the tournament.
