I couldnt agree more. My heart goes out to USC and Berkeley, two schools that absolutely deserve to be in memphis.
Over the course of the season I grew to fear and respect Berkeley as competitors, and to appreciate their extremely good-natured team outside the courtroom as well. Max Bernstein is one of the most tenacious attorneys i have seen all season, and Kimya, Jay, and the rest of the witnesses are polished and classy.
As for Robson Hauser, I competed with him on USC's nationals squad back when Bobby Campbell was stabbing folks with needles, and i have yet to meet a mocker with more sheer love of the game. His talent with objections and evidence is a testament to his tenacity as a competitor, as well as to the depth of legal education that Olu's program provides. Looks like those full MRE flashcards really do help ;)
Hauser, I am sad that we will never get that head-to-head round, although perhaps if we did it would be you and not I who is going to memphis. But since it is me, I will do my best to represent UCLA and USC (yes, if i take a long enough shower, red and gold begin to glow beneath the blue). You are one hell of a mocker and a great friend, and USC is lucky to have a guy like you in the program.

P.s Ladies, Hauser is single, and available for evidence tutoring sessions monday-sunday 8PM-3AM.

Berkley and UW couldn't have been more likable. Both teams contain only the most incredibly friendly, talented and humble people. I'm impressed. Can't wait to see you next season.

This year I've come to sympathize rather heavily with regional camaraderie and the out-of-school friendships it can form. You guys have my respect for being so cool with how your ORCS went down.

I was pretty upset about it Sunday night, not gonna lie, but who can I take it out on here?  If anyone understands, it's Jimmy, who's team got screwed last year at this same tournament.  It comes down to us only taking five ballots.  If we'd taken six, we'd be going.  No excuses.  Next year, we'll win more and make it.
Besides, Fuller's an old teammate and a good friend.  I'm proud of how well he does.  That said, I'd have loved that one on one shot he mentioned that we'd been hoping for the last two years.  That would've been a lot of fun.  Since we never got it, I'll live vicariously through him as he hits (and likely beats) the best of the best in Memphis.

A big thanks to UCI for hosting a well ran tournament and organizing the facilities and judging panels. The banquet/awards ceremony was also a great way to end the weekend. I thank University of Redlands and Fresno State for a great second half of competition. However, a special thanks goes out to our friends from Berkeley and the University of Washington for 2 great rounds on Saturday. These two teams are some of the most down to earth and kind folks, and they of course know how to do business in the courtroom. This was a very tough ORC and both of these teams (among others) deserve to be booking their flights to Memphis. However, I congratulate the top 6 teams that did qualify, and I can not wait for next season.

Your attitude is commendable.  The thing to remember is that there were 12-14 deserving teams but only 6 got to move on.   Broken hearts are inevitable in Irvine.
