I want to thank Fresno State for hosting such a well-run regional tournament.  The Bulldogs are hospitable and professional.  I hope Gordon and company will continue to host in the future.

I can't remember a tournament in which we hit such consistently friendly teams -- UCLA, USC, Santa Cruz, Claremont, ASU and Berkeley were all wonderful opponents.

ASU and Berkeley were obviously outstanding, as evidenced by their records.  But I wanted to highlight Claremont McKenna.  Their ninth place finish does not do them justice.  This is a talented, creative and hard-working team.  I expect they will soon find their way from the open bid rankings to the opening round championship, where they belong.  Congrats to Martin, Abhi and the other Stags and Athenas -- we will see you soon.

Congrats also to Steve Borello and his 964 Bruins.  They were kind enough to let me watch their round 1.  The hype is for real.  This team is outstanding.

In light of Justin's gracious gesture, I suppose it's more than appropriate to congratulate Irvine on it's impressive weekend as well.  The only thing more impressive than both teams finishing 6-2 is the fact that Irvine once again deservedly received the Spirit of AMTA award.  I can't think of a more friendly and enthusiastic team on the circuit.  On a side note, I'd like to give a shout out to Gaya for taking home her first attorney award.

While I'm at it I want to thank Fresno for hosting a fantastic regional and earning a bid to ORCS.  Our third round with them was an entertaining and hard-fought match.

Good luck to all the teams earning bids out of Fresno this weekend.

I had the pleasure of judging a scrimmage between Gaya's Irvine team and ASU before UCLA.  Let's just say I'm thrilled we won the re-match, because they won the scrimmage.

Irvine is an amazing program full of wonderful students with world class coaching.

Ditto on congrats to Gaya.  I <3 Gaya!

Although our results were ultimately heart-wrenching for me, I'd like to thank Fresno State for putting on a terrific tournament once again. We enjoyed our time competing in Fresno for the second year in a row.

Arizona wants to thank Claremont McKenna A, ASU A, and UCSB (A and B), for 4 fantastic (and incredibly competitive) rounds.  I can definitely echo Justin's sentiments, Claremont McKenna's record in no way indicates how -good- that team really is. Abhi it was a great experience and pleasure getting to argue with you for 3 different portions of the case (Walton, Thomas, and Closings). I wish ASU, CMC and UCSB luck in Irvine. Also, I want to send a special congratulations to ASU 1142 for going undefeated. Everyone in Irvine be careful, those girls know what they're doing.

Congrats to all of the other teams advancing on to the Irvine ORCS.

Unless magnificent luck somehow prevails, I was content with this being my last hurrah in AMTA as a competitor.

I haven't seen most of these teams personally, but if they are all up to par with Fresno State, then this must have been a great regional. Congrats to everyone who qualified, and a special hurrah for Fresno State from the Colorado team. Third round at UIUC was one of the best rounds we've ever had, and we know from the talent, professionalism, and friendliness that you displayed there that you more than deserve this.
