I once saw a mock trial on TV where Hamlet was tried for the murder of Polonius. It involved real US Supreme Court justices.
I have an idea for a mock trial:
The trial of Elmer Fudd for the attempted murder of Bugs Bunny.
Evidence for the prosecution:
All those Warner Bros. cartoons.
Evidence for defense:
Is BB entitled to human rights?
Possible practical real life applications or whatever:
Intellegent life may exist on other planets quite able to communicate with humans.
They may even be friendly.
Such life may look like, say, big spiders.
What if some day while visiting here one is apparently killed with pre-meditation for no legal reason by a Terran whose identity is known? Should the Terran be tried for murder?
I think Hamlet was aquitted for murdering Polonius but convicted for mistreating Ophelia![]()
